Gina was surprised she didn’t have to “miss out” on anything to eat healthy
After Gina took her body back she was nice enough to give me her feedback on the experience, below are the highlights from our conversation.
Why did you decide to join Take Your Body Back Now?
I was very upset with how my weight was yo-yoing and I wanted to gain control over my body and feel good about how I looked. I knew your program would help me accomplish this.
I finally decided to call you after my friend began the program. I noticed him lose a lot of weight and he remained very positive about the program. When I spoke to him he had all this knowledge about food. I wanted that too! And After seeing his results, I wanted to join immediately.
I also thought he seemed happier or uplifted, or just in a better place. I wanted that same feeling.
Why was it important for you to join when you did instead of delaying until the future?
I have not been happy with my body for a while, and I did not see any point is procrastinating. Clearly, I was not going to figure this out on my own.
You mentioned to me that before you joined the program you would “gain weight suddenly and feel crappy” – what did you do to lose weight before this program?
I would go on days where I didn’t eat much to counter act the days I ate too much.
And now that you’ve gone through the program, do you feel confident in your ability to keep the weight off without any sort of crash diet?
Yes, I feel 100% confident that I do not need to crash diet.
What surprised you the most about the program?
I’m surprised at how easy it is to find healthy alternatives in any restaurant.
I’m also surprised to learn that I don’t need carbs to fill me up, I don’t even eat the bread basket anymore. I’m surprised that I find avocado and red meat enjoyable.
Did you spend concerned a lot of time concerned about your appearance before the program – and what about now?
Yes, I was concerned how I looked in clothes and if anything made me look heavy or sloppy. I am still concerned, however, I feel much more confident in my skin. I spend a lot less time obsessing over my clothes.
What is the biggest reason you’re happy you went through Take Your Body Back Now?
I’m happy I did the program because I learned what to eat and how to exercise in order to maintain a lean body, without obsessing over food/exercise. I gained a sense of control.
Also, when I want to have a “treat” (wine, carb), I’ve learned how to strategize, so this will not derail my progress.
Is there anything you’d like to say to someone considering joining the program? (Perhaps, if they’re on the fence, they don’t know if this is the right program for them.)
I would tell anyone that this program is tailored to each individual’s needs. There is no one size fits all, and I think that’s why it works so well.
It also allows you to participate in social activities (going to restaurants with friends, or BBQ’s) without derailing your diet or feeling ostracized. I never felt I had to miss out on anything. I even felt better about myself after realizing that I could participate in social gatherings without deviating from my plan.
It is very empowering.
I recommend to anyone on the fence that he/she read your blog about your experience with weight gain/weight loss. The fact that the program is built by someone who had similar struggles and understands how difficult the process can be is very comforting. I felt it was judgement free and that was very important to me.
You have thought of everything! From the supplies in the amazon packet, to the pamphlet that covers how to cook! It’s so well thought out!
